American Psycho Remake Project Pitched to Lionsgate

Music video director, Noble Jones, hopes to shoot a micro-budget remake of American Psycho, the 2000 psychological movie directed by Mary Harron and starring Christian Bale. His reimagined script was pitched to Lionsgate some months ago, though the studio are yet to decide whether to finance the project, as they hold the rights to the remake.  Jones’ take on the story will focus on the original tale by author Bret Easton Ellis, but placing serial killer protagonist Patrick Bateman in a 2010 decade setting.

What are your thoughts on this planned remake?  Is it too soon?  Feel free to leave a comment below.
