The first clip for The Amazing Spider-Man has been revealed online. The viral site for the film, markofthespider-man.com has 6 fuzzy images showing “chosen” operatives from around the city. However, on the same site, if you click the big red spider, you get to watch the very first clip from the film. Good times!
Unfortunately, the clip is pretty boring. Bad times!
Lasting little over 40 seconds, the new snippet from the films shows little more than Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) trying to get past a suspicious door man. But, sharp eyed pundits that watched the first full trailer will note that Gwen Stacy (played by Emma Stone) and Peter have a conversation about why he’s climbing through her 20 storey window. Peter remarks “The doorman’s intimidating.” Aha, so that’s why.
The Amazing Spider Man is scheduled to appear at UK cinemas 4 July 2012. Check out the first clip below, followed by the full trailer with the introduction that will make more sense.
The Amazing Spider-Man Synopsis / Plot / Storyline
The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field).
Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.
As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
