Images for the reboot of Judge Dredd, simply known as Dredd, have been thin on the ground. Aside from some images in Empire Magazine, we’ve seen relatively little of the production. However, Slashfilm have come across some images from the production via JDMN on Twitter. Dredd stars Karl Urban (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Star Trek, Priest) as Judge Dredd, the law enforcer made famous in the graphic series by 2000AD. Olivia Thirlman co-stars as Judge Cassandra Anderson and Lena Headey as villain Madeline ‘Ma-Ma’ Madrigal. Here are some brand new images which promises much more of the grit which appeared in the comic series, as opposed to Sly Stallone’s film from the 1990′s.
Dredd Synopsis
Dredd takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. Peter Travis directed the film from a script by Alex Garland. Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey co-star.
