New International ‘Battleship’ Trailer Looks Like A Hit

After being treated to a still of Rihana recently Universal have seen fit to give us another trailer for Battleship today. It’s the ‘international’ trailer hence the subtitles, and showcases a little more of the relationship dynamic between Taylor Kitschs Alex Hopper, Brooklyn Decker’s Sam Shane and the very angry Admiral Hopper as played by the wolf-punching Liam Neeson. Of course there’s also a lot more action on show too, with a few lingering shots of the aliens behind the monstrous space-ship set on destroying the world.

Action aside Universal are also pushing the Transformers angle again with some very familiar sound effects taking pride of place. With news of yet another Transformers film on the way can Battleship compete in the giant robot/spaceship market? We’ve got a couple more months to wait until we can answer that question so just sit back and enjoy this trailer for now, there’s sure to be more on the way.
