First Teaser Trailer for Oliver Stone’s ‘Savages’ Starring Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch

The first teaser trailer for Savages has arrived. Coming in at just 15 seconds long, the trailer manages to set the pace and tone of the film very well; it looks mean, fast, tense and full of action. Blake Lively stars as Ophelia (O), the playmate of friends Chon (Taylor Kitsch) and Ben (Aaron Johnson).  The three of them are marijuana dealers getting by, when they are thrown into a world of violence after they run into the Baja Cartel.  When O is kidnapped, Chon and Ben must storm the cartel to get her back.  Salma Hayek, Uma Thurman, Benecio Del Toro, Emile Hirsch, John Travolta and Trevor Donovan also feature in the picture, which is directed by Oliver Stone.

Savages is scheduled to hit UK cinemas 28 September 2012 (6 July 2012 USA). Check out the first teaser trailer below, followed by the book synopsis.

Synopsis
The future is looking good for Laguna Beach, Calif., marijuana growers Ben and Chon, until they receive an ominous e-mail from the Baja Cartel. Attached is a photograph showing the decapitated bodies of other independent drug dealers. The message is clear: sell your product through us or else. Ben and Chon try to resist, but matters escalate after cartel thugs abduct Ophelia, the guys’ beautiful young playmate and accomplice, and hold her for a cool million ransom. Meanwhile, Elena “La Reina” Sanchez Lauter, the leader of the Baja Cartel, must deal with rival drug gangs and potential overthrow from within.

About Richard Lennox

I started Filmoria in 2010, simply because I love films and I wanted to write about them. Movies have been formative in my life, and I hope they will continue to do so for many years to come. Now, I'm a father, and I can't wait to share my adventures through film, classics and new, with my daughter. I'm extremely thankful for the many, many wonderful opportunities that writing this site has brought me. And, thank you everyone who has helped me make this website what it is.
