Capitol Couture Launches with Image of CATCHING FIRE’s Effie Trinket

The Capitol Couture website, the viral marketing portal for last year’s incredibly popular Hunger Games, is back another spell of viral marketing fodder for this year’s Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. So far, the website has been showing a series of images with empty chairs, hinting at elegant stars that will park their bums to fabric. Today, the first of said stars heinys has taken its rightful place on the derriere cushion – Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket.

Looking like a red pin cushion herself, Effie looks more glamorous than ever.  The character returns in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, overseeing the 75th Hunger Games tournament, otherwise known as the Quarter Quell.  The Quarter Quell is a best of the best tournament to the end… and I will say no more on pain of death for spoilers.

The sequel, directed by Francis Lawrence, won’t be out until much later this year, 22nd November, to be exact.  Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson all return for their relevant parts.  They’re j0ined by HG newcomers Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer and Jeffrey Wright.
