First Glimpse Of Jude Law As ‘The Young Pope’

Jude Law is getting into character to play the fictional Pope Pius XIII in a brand new miniseries.

The first official image of the British actor as the pontiff in Paolo Sorrentino’s television feature, The Young Pope, has just been released. It shows Law lying on a reclining chair under the Rome sun.

The Young Pope is an original co-production by Sky, HBO and Canal+ and all eight episodes will be directed by Oscar-winner Sorrentino (The Great Beauty). Filming is currently underway for broadcast next year.

The ensemble cast is made up of international talent, including Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara and Ludivine Sagnier.
