Currently sitting at a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it explores the making of the widely infamous 2003 film The Room, and the unlikely friendship between the eccentric Wiseau (James Franco) and Greg Sestero (Dave Franco), following their chance meeting. The film was the debut feature of Wiseau’s, and has gained a cult following through its universal derision. With many citing it as the ‘worst film ever made’.

The trailer below features pull quotes with extremely positively accolades. With The Hollywood News calling it “one of the year’s best films”, and The Playlist hailing it a “masterpiece”.

You can say “Oh, hai Mark!” on December 1st in the UK.

Aspiring filmmaker Tommy Wiseau and best friend Greg Sestero move to Los Angeles to achieve Hollywood stardom. Financed with his own money, Wiseau writes, directs and stars in “The Room,” a critically maligned movie that becomes a cult classic. The film, directed by and starring James Franco, is based on actor Greg Sestero’s book of the same name.
