A Statham/Johnson Fast And Furious Spin-Off Could Be On The Cards!

Okay, so if this one happens then the world may well go into excitement overdrive, as the studio execs at Universal are currently looking into the possibility of a spin-off from the Fast and Furious movies featuring none other than Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson.

With Fast and Furious 8 currently trail-blazing its way to box office brilliance the world over, the pair have been captivating audiences with their quick-quipping, musclebound characters, Deckard Shaw and Luke Hobbs. With the eighth instalment turning them from enemies to reluctant co-workers, both Shaw and Hobbs provide some of the best moments from the new blockbuster, with their swipes at one another raising the best laughs and the pair involved in the most ambitious and enthralling of the film’s set pieces.

Who doesn’t love a prison breakout with these two or Statham channeling his unhinged brilliance from Crank to deliver a hilarious and brutal action sequence involving bad guys and a baby?! The pair are box office gold and the very notion of them starring in their own spin-off simply has to be a reality.

For now, it’s simply talk but should this one happen then the Fast and Furious saga has just received yet another injection of nitrous oxide to keep it rolling for years to come.
