Anne Hathaway – taking a severe break away from more traditional projects – plays Gloria, a reckless, self-loathing drunk who is forced to return home to New Jersey after being chucked out by her boyfriend. Meanwhile an enormous, Kaiju-like monster is destroying Seoul on the other side of the world, and somehow she stares a connection to the beast. Watch the nutty and truly brilliant teaser right here.

After Gloria (Anne Hathaway) loses her job and is kicked out of her boyfriend’s apartment, she leaves her life in New York and move back to her hometown. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

Whilst Colossal sadly lacks a UK release date at current, it’ll be smashing through US theatres from 7th April, 2017. The film co-stars Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens, and Tim Blake Nelson.
