Game developer Bandai Namco have This week set a release date for their upcoming game Little Nightmares for the 28th April 2017.  The game has been long awaited by platformer fans, using a great art style and uneasy tension to create a platformer that will keep horror and artsy game fanatics both satisfied.

Many have commented on the style, stating the similarity to the 2016 game Unravel.  Its base function and movement is similar in many respects, however the theme couldn’t be more dissimilar.  Crazed butchers and scary things all hunting for you: a little girl in a yellow hat.  Fear and tension are at the core of the game but with that comes a sense of beauty – the artwork is stunning, as is the soundtrack.

Little Nightmares has had a very good reception to initial gameplay trailers, including a special by famous YouTuber PewDiePie.  Available on Xbox One, PC and PS4, the game is looking to conquer all three pillars of the gaming world with scares, intensity and intrigue.  We need to give a fair warning however – this game isn’t for the faint hearted!

This is a game that we at Filmoria are very much looking forward to.  The game that captivated many of us at trailer launch is now within our sights and if there was one game to pre-order in these dark days of pre-ordering, we would pick Little Nightmares.
