Action legend Bruce Willis has stepped of the VOD/direct to video train, and looks to make a huge theatrical comeback with this first trailer for Death Wish – a remake of the 1974 classic directed by Michael Winner.

Co-written and directed by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever), the 2017 version stars Willis heading the cast as Paul Kersey. A mild-mannered husband and father turned vigilante (originally played by Charles Bronson) following a malicious attack on his family. Leaving him yearning for justice and vengeance.

The trailer highlights Kersey’s descent into a walking weapon – the so-called ‘Grim Reaper’. Right before we see just a few of his unsuspecting victims meet a grisly end…

Whilst Winner’s original film was a massive talking point during its release due to its subject material and response. One may wonder if the long-standing genre of ‘revenge’ movies in the post-2000’s era, could recapture such highs.

The jury’s most certainly out on this one until its official release on November 22nd. Check out the trailer below.
