Following his impactful debut in Captain America: Civil War. Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, the first solo outing for the legendary Marvel superhero, has officially began production. Joining the massive crossover, Avengers: Infinity War, which is also currently filming at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. And Marvel Studios have officially released a full cast list and the first synopsis for the film, whilst fans of the ongoing franchise wait for its 2018 release.

Here’s the synopsis below:

Black Panther follows T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Black Panther also stars Michael B. Jordan, Sterling K. Brown, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Forest Whitaker, Danai Gurira and Daniel Kaluuya.  With Andy Serkis, Martin Freeman and Florence Kasumba returning from previous appearances as Ulysses Claw, Everett K. Ross and Ayo respectively.

The eighteenth entry in the long-running Marvel Cinematic Universe is scheduled to hit theatres on February 9th in the UK, and February 18th in the US.
