Get To Know Joel With New Loving Featurette

Ahead of its UK release this Friday, Universal Pictures UK have unveiled a beautiful insider’s look at Joel Edgerton’s textured and profound performance in Jeff Nichols’ Academy Award-nominated biographical drama, Loving.

The sobering film, which stars Edgerton alongside Ruth Negga, Michael Shannon, and Nick Kroll, details the forbidden love between an interracial couple during the 1960s. “Loving” celebrates the real-life courage and commitment of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving, who married and then spent the next nine years fighting for the right to live as a family in their hometown. Their civil rights case, Loving v. Virginia, went all the way to the Supreme Court, which in 1967 reaffirmed the very foundation of the right to marry – making their love story an inspiration to couples everywhere.

Written and directed by Nichols, with production from Colin Firth, Nancy Buirski, Sarah Green, Ged Doherty, Marc Turtletaub, and Peter Saraf, Loving opens theatrically across the UK on Friday 3rd February.
