The King of Atlantis himself - Aquaman - will swim into theatres in October 2018. Jason Momoa’s Aquaman Finally Gets A Release Date

After hanging in limbo for many months, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics have now secured a theatrical release date for their Aquaman movie; the standalone debut for the classic character. Jason Momoa will stars as the titular hero in the James Wan (The Conjuring, Fast and Furious 7)-directed film, which will open on 5th October, 2018.

The King of Atlantis made his first appearance in this year’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and will feature properly alongside a cavalcade of DC heroes in Zack Snyder’s Justice League – due out next year. Justice League will also introduce a couple of Aquaman’s fellow Atlantians; Willem Dafoe’s Vulko and Amber Heard’s Mera, who is expected to return for Wan’s flick.

Taking a look a the DCEU at large, Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman arrives in UK cinemas on 2nd June, 2017, and Snyder’s Justice League on 17th November, 2017. The Flash – starring Ezra Miller – is currently scheduled for 16th March, 2018, but after a pair of director drop-outs, a release date delay is looking more and more likely.
