Andy Serkis’ leading production and performance capture company has appointed a new Head Of Games for their newly launched games division, Gina Jackson. Jackson enters the new role within the company having previously gained plenty of experience with companies such as Nokia and Eidos. The company is hoping to expand its reach into the gaming sector as they have already seen a wealth of success in the cinematic realms.

Upon her appointment, Jackson has this to say;

I’m excited about the challenge ahead of me and looking forward to working with developers with one aim, bringing the art of storytelling into games. The experience and facilities at The Imaginarium make them uniquely suited to succeed in this sector.

Adding to Jackson’s comments, co-founder of Imaginaruim, Jonathan Cavendish outlined the importance of appointing an individual possessing such experience;

We are delighted to welcome Gina to the company and we view her appointment as a sign of our commitment to make games an additional part of our entertainment portfolio. We’re fortunate to find someone of Gina’s calibre to fill this role and I’m confident that she will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals in this exciting and highly creative industry. The interactive nature of games brings huge opportunities for us to explore as a medium for the next generation of storytelling and we are very pleased to be guided on this journey by Gina.
