Officially confirmed as Michael Bay’s final foray into the Transformers universe, Transformers: The Last Knight looks to bring forth a whole new dimension of history surrounding the Autobots and Decpticons who scoured the Earth after the fall of Cybertron.

Guaranteeing one hell of a send-off for the director who penchant for destruction matches his passion for the art of IMAX filming, the film looks to be one of the main contenders of 2017 to dominate the box office with its spanning worldwide audience, and the latest trailer goes a long way to show that the team at Paramount are really pulling out all the stops.

Teasing us of the fate of Optimus Prime (we still can’t fathom him in the villain role), and introducing us to the pivotal human characters thrown into the fray this time around (Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock and Isabela Moner to name a few), the trailer is a trail-blazing blitz of hard-hitting action and twisted metal.

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero.  Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Transformers: The Last Knight is released in June.
