Tequila Works (of the bafta-nominated game Deadlight) have just announced their new game RiME will be coming to PC, Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in May of 2017.

The studio have teamed up with Six Foot and Grey Box to bring out the highly anticipated multi-platform game.  The game’s style leaves you with the comfortable reminisce of Journey – the critically acclaimed 2012 game by thatgamecompany.  RiME looks to be a great indie game that entices you into its beautiful world to experience a fantastical story.

The game has been in development for some time.  Initially set for release in 2015, the game was delayed due to unknown circumstances, which was a big disappointment to its preliminary fans.  Tequila Works had stayed quiet about the game for a long time until very recently.  On January 4th, they announced their partnership with Six Foot and Grey Box, making the release date of the game possible.

Christian Svensson, chief operating officer of Six Foot recently commented in the press release. “Once we began working with Tequila Works, we became excited at the prospect of releasing RiME to a much wider audience … This is a title we think will resonate with gamers, and we can’t wait to share it with them in a few short months.”

RiME looks to be heading towards the same route of success as many other hit indie games.  We at Filmoria are waiting excitedly for its release.
