Thunderous Super Bowl Spot For Ghost In The Shell

The live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell is one of Filmoria’s (and indeed this writer’s) most-anticipated films of 2017, and ahead of this Sunday’s Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, the kind folks at Paramount Pictures have given us the goods earlier by unleashing the new trailer.

Laden with a brooding, jarring score, and some absolutely stunning imagery – including Scarlett Johansson’s Major having some facial reconstructive surgery – this new 30″ Spot continues to increase the hype. Check it out below.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

Ghost in the Shell is directed by Rupert Sanders of Snow White and the Huntsman fame, and co-stars Beat Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbaek, Rila Fukushima, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo.

It arrives in UK cinemas on Friday, 31st March in IMAX 3D, and we simply cannot wait.
