This morning saw the official unveiling of the EE British Academy Film Awards 2017 nominations as Awards Season continues to gather momentum, and our man Chris Haydon reacted to the announcement live on video which you can view right here.

Damien Chazelle’s La La Land earned the most nominations on the day, scoring 11, whilst Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals, and Denis Villenueve’s Arrival rightly gained an impressive 9 nods each. Ken Loach’s Palme d’Or-winning I, Daniel Blake was also a big success story, earning 5 including a recognition for Outstanding British Film, and Emily Blunt received a performance nomination for her work in The Girl on the Train.

The EE BAFTAs 2017 take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 12th February, 2017. The full list of nominations can be read below:
