Rupert Sanders’ adaptation of the Japanese Manga Ghost In The Shell is right around the corner, and we’ve been treated to an extensive clip from the movie.  This 4 minute video, backed by excerpts of Clint Mansell’s score, is focussed primarily on Scarlett Johansson’s Major. As she prepares to execute the infiltration of a business lunch at Hanka Robotics….

The clip showcases some breathtaking visuals of the movie’s advanced Japanese setting, CG Geisha robots, and Major’s rather impressive array of combat expertise.

In the near future, Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the first of her kind: a human who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to, and her life was not saved. Instead, it was stolen. Ghost In The Shell stars Scarlett Johansson, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Pilou Asbæk and Michael Pitt. It will be released in the UK on March 30th through Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks.
