This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Filmoria collects when you use www.filmoria.co.uk, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. Filmoria is a venture of SEOValley Solutions Private Limited. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What data do we collect?
Data you give us
- Newsletter sign-up: your first name and email address, plus the date and time you subscribed and the form you used.
- Contact and contributor forms: your name, email address and anything you write in your message. If you apply to become a contributor or request syndication access, we also keep the details you include in that application.
- Comments: if you comment on an article through the Facebook comments box, that comment is handled by Facebook (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy.
Data collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (country or city), device type, browser and how you arrived at the site. This is collected by Google Analytics.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser information, which our hosting, caching and security providers process to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Local storage: our newsletter pop-up saves a small note in your browser (not a cookie) to remember whether you closed it or subscribed, so we do not keep showing it to you.

Who do we share your data with?
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- MailerLite (UAB MailerLite): stores newsletter subscribers and sends our emails.
- Google (Google Analytics): website analytics. Google also provides YouTube, which we use to embed trailers and videos; YouTube may set its own cookies when you play a video.
- Hostinger: website hosting.
- LiteSpeed / QUIC.cloud: page caching and content delivery.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile) and Google reCAPTCHA: spam and bot protection on our forms.
- Meta (Facebook): the comments box on articles and, on some pages, the Meta Pixel, which measures visits from Facebook and Instagram.
Some of these providers are based in, or transfer data to, countries outside the UK, including the United States and the European Union. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long do we keep your data?
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list, so we never email you by mistake.
- Messages and applications: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we need them longer for an ongoing arrangement.
- Analytics data: according to the retention setting in Google Analytics, which is no longer than 14 months.
Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit Filmoria, a cookie banner lets you choose which optional technologies we use. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google’s browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you reading any of our articles.
What are your rights?
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before going to the ICO.
Children
Filmoria is written for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change that affects how we use your data, we will tell newsletter subscribers by email.
