Independent streaming platform Film Ahoy confirms new titles

Film Ahoy are delighted to confirm their latest slate of films for August and September. Ranging from Sci-Fis and action thrillers, LGBT romances and coming of age dramas, Film Ahoy aims to host films to suit all ages and tastes.

The cream of the crop includes Wung Tang’s Kung fu action thriller Fist of Unicorn, including Kung fu cinema’s top names, like Whang In Shik, Jackie Chan, Gee Han Jay, Alan Hsu and even Bruce Lee.

For fans of animation, users can discover the hidden gem Lovesick Fool: Love in the Age of Like, from the director of smash cult cartoon Rick & Morty and starring Lisa Kidrow and Janeane Garofolo.

Enrique Garcia’s Resort Paraiso will satisfy the horror fans amongst us. This Spanish take on The Shining follows a mourning couple who squat in an abandoned hotel after their sons death, only to find out that they are in a thrilling game of cat and mouse with the hotel guards. There will be a small theatrical release of this title to co-incide with its launch on Film Ahoy. Another offering to get hearts racing will be Evolutionary Pictures’ Cain Hill, starring Gemma Atkinson (Hollyoaks, Strictly Come Dancing) and British TV Presenter, Alex Zane.

In addition, the intense SciFi anthology #She will be available. Starring Elizabeth Debicki, Najarra Townsend and directed by Arantxa Echevarria, #She is a wild journey through the warped mind of seven of the best up-and-coming female directors.
