Claudia Schiffer has inspired and co-created a new character ‘The Beauty Bot’ who will feature in the upcoming film Kingsman: The Golden Circle, released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from today, Wednesday 20th of September.
Claudia worked with the filmmaking team to develop and style the ‘bot’ into the ultimate beautician, creating her with all the qualities needed to deliver the perfect ‘makeover’. ‘The Beauty Bot’ is a vital member of Poppy’s (Julianne Moore’s) team. She is a beautician with an inviting salon in Poppyland; a villain’s lair complete with all things American – including the salon, Poppy’s bowling alley, a concert hall and a lavish diner – within her headquarters hidden deep in Southeast Asian ruins.
An appointment with ‘The Beauty Bot’ offers clients the ultimate in salon ‘makeovers’ transforming customers to fit perfectly into Poppy’s squad. ‘The Beauty Bot’ is also a qualified tattoo specialist, branding guests with exclusively crafted body art.
“I’ve often fantasised about what it would be like if we had a robot we could programme to get us ready in an instant,” Claudia Schiffer said. “Making her come to life has been an incredible, and mind-blowing, experience!”
Matthew Vaughn, director, producer and writer, commented: “Claudia has always been obsessed with robots, so when we came up with the concept of a beauty bot, there was no one better to help bring the idea to life.”
Schiffer brought the salon to life off-screen too, with the preview of her Claudia Schiffer Make Up collection featured in the movie, also launched this September, including two products inspired by the film. The eye-catching Poppy Land red lipstick, complimented by the Kingsman vivid red nail polish.
“Every woman needs a bold red lipstick and a glossy red nail polish in her make-up bag – and what could be sexier than one inspired by the Kingsman’s vibrant villain played by Julianne Moore?” said Schiffer.
‘The Beauty Bot’ joins cast members Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Elton John, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal, Edward Holcroft, Sophie Cookson, Poppy Delevingne.
