New episodes of Rick And Morty are on the horizon – rejoice! The third season of Adult Swim’s acclaimed animated comedy will finally arrive on July 30th 2017 – available to stream on AdultSwim.com. And the first trailer has been released to give fans a taste of what to expect.

Following its monumentally successful first two seasons, a third season opener was premiered on April 1st. Which in turn was some kind of reverse April Fools gag by the show’s creators. The episode picked up from the cliffhanger during the season 2 finale, after Rick sacrificed himself to the Galactic authorities to ensure his family’s safety. Since this, no other new material aired until this official announcement from Adult Swim.

The trailer below has more than your fair share of typical Rick And Morty-isms. The bizarre, weird, the outlandish, the brushings of dark humour…. Everything the show has become renowned for.

Oh, and then there’s Pickle Rick….

Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry. Watch Rick and Morty battle everything from interdimensional customs agents to Cronenberg monsters.
