On the heels of its March 24th UK release through Studiocanal, adventure biopic The Lost City Of Z has received a dazzling second international trailer. Based on the book of the same name, Charlie Hunnam heads the bill as Percy Fawcett, a former Colonel turned explorer. As he ventures deep into the Amazon rainforest in the hope of discovering a supposed lost city.

With brief looks at some gorgeous cinematography and Hunnam’s determined resolve as the ex-military man, Fawcett. The trailer also features supporting players Sienna Miller, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson – and has received promising, glowing reviews. Following screenings at 2016’s New York Film Festival, and at last month’s Berlin Film Festival – critics are citing the film as transporting, atmospheric and courageous.

Check out the new trailer from the James Gray-directed film below. And keep locked to Filmoria for more trailers for 2017’s upcoming releases.

The Lost City of Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as “savages,” the determined Fawcett – supported by his devoted wife, son and aide-de-camp returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925.
