2019 has been a great year for movies, whether it is children’s movies, horror movies or franchise movies such as Marvel, Disney and so forth, there is no denying that movie fans and movie producing companies such as Warner Bros and Universal will agree that the movies that have been released within 2019 have been an incredible success in both ratings and money. Therefore, this article will bring you the 5 highest-grossing Hollywood movies from this year. For the richest actors Taddlr.com has made a great round-up.

Avengers Endgame

The film that ends the saga that is the Marvel Universe that either by itself or together with Disney in a collaboration that could only have come from the Gods has brought the world 21 films in over ten years of awesomeness. However, it is worth to be praised for the sheer magnitude of what was pulled off with the Endgame movie, not only for the consistency, size or quality of the cast that were acting within the movie but also because of the small window that both Marvel and Disney had to get this movie produced in, it simply is a work that paid off both in monetary value but also the emotional response that is delivered to the fans that were watching it, that have grown to have a sharp affinity with the actors, most of whom have retained the original actors (with the exception of Spiderman for over ten years) hence why the killing off of most of the cast in infinity war left many feeling distraught and left them invested for the ending part of the war. It was definitely a move that paid off as Avengers Endgame took a domestic gross of 858 million dollars and an international gross of 2.8 billion dollars. It is now available for streaming on Prime & More.

John Wick Chapter 3

The third instalment of everyone’s favorite gentleman assassin saw fans rushing to the cinema to see what happens. Apart from being a great movie it also broaches the scandal of video games and movies and can do this effortlessly without looking shameful or pitiful, a feat which other movies have yet to achieve. It is full of bloodlust and gore but fans cannot get enough of it claiming it is one f the beauties of the franchise. This movie took a domestic gross of 171 million dollars and an international gross of 322 million dollars.

The Lion King

Everyone knows Disney films like the back of their hands and the Lion King is no exception. With Disney’s successes rolling in from the live-action versions of their well known and loved cartoon predecessors, they chose The Lion King to be one of the versions that came out in 2019 along with Aladdin and Dumbo. Complete with the cast that is known and loved and the soundtrack that is as much a part of the film as Simba and the Pride lands are, fans were not disappointed with the version with it taking a domestic gross of 530 million dollars and an international gross of 1.6 billion dollars bring it a close second to the Avengers Endgame.

Toy Story 4

The final instalment of the Toy Story Franchise which sees Woody leaving the other toys to follow his heart and to stay with the toy he loves Bo Peep left people feeling heart warmed and emotional, I am not ashamed to say I shed a tear or two. But more importantly, it goes on to show just what a great year Disney has had in terms of its movies. Although it didn’t hit the mark as well as Toy Story 3, because, hey that had it all from love and affection to sticking up to bullying, breakouts and happy endings. Despite all this though Toy Story 4 still managed to take a domestic gross of 432 million dollars and an international gross of 1.05 billion dollars.

US

From the same director as Get Out Us goes further than Get out and clarifies what Get Out could only Imply. It is a film that has it all it starts as a family comedy type feel that then descends into a house break-in thilleresque movie, breaking into a horror movie with science fiction qualities. In theory, it has so much going on that it shouldn’t work but it simply does. With a domestic gross of 175 million dollars and an international gross of 255 million dollars, it takes its place in the top 5 grossing movies of 2019.
