The 20-year-old actor, director and producer will independently present his fourth feature through Electric Shock Productions at the American Film Market in Los Angeles.

Samuel L. Pierce and his independent production company, Electric Shock Productions, are bringing the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol to the 2026 American Film Market (AFM), taking place November 10–15 in Los Angeles. The film marks Pierce’s fourth feature and his most ambitious production to date, as the young filmmaker looks to introduce the project directly to international buyers, distributors and potential sales partners.

Directed by Pierce and Chris Noordman, and produced by Pierce, Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol combines espionage, extraterrestrial threats, government conspiracies and practical action in a science-fiction thriller built around loyalty, betrayal and the consequences of challenging a powerful organization.

Pierce stars as Jack Harrison, a 20-year-old commander within the covert Earth Security Service, an organization responsible for protecting the planet from extraterrestrial threats. When a security breach threatens to expose the agency, Harrison uncovers a conspiracy within its ranks and is forced to go rogue, placing himself in direct conflict with the organization he once served.

The ensemble includes Jeremy Moller (Off The Line), Ella Mei Williamson and Carl L. Covington (The Death of Snow White). HMMA-nominated composer Kevin West provides the score.

An Independent Production Enters the International Marketplace

Unlike productions represented at AFM by established sales companies, Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol will be presented independently by Pierce and Electric Shock Productions, allowing the filmmakers to introduce the project directly to potential distribution and sales partners.

“We’ve built Electric Shock Productions by taking an active role in every stage of our films, from development and production through distribution,” said Pierce. “Bringing Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol to AFM ourselves is a continuation of that approach. We’re excited to introduce the film to potential partners and explore where it can go next.”

For Pierce, the market represents an opportunity to build on the commercial experience gained through his earlier features while exploring opportunities for Rogue Protocol in both domestic and international territories.

His previous productions have taken him through the independent distribution process, including securing a deal with Random Media for The Get Rich Quick Scheme at just 16 years old. That early experience helped establish the business foundation upon which Electric Shock Productions continues to grow.

Now, with a more technically demanding science-fiction action feature in post-production, Pierce is entering the marketplace with a project designed to appeal to audiences drawn to espionage, action and genre-driven storytelling. The film incorporates practical stunt work, choreographed fight sequences, visual effects and a larger fictional world than Pierce’s previous productions, reflecting the company’s continued expansion into more commercially oriented filmmaking.

Samuel L. Pierce Expands His Action Credentials

For Pierce, Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol is both a filmmaking milestone and an opportunity to further establish himself as a physical leading actor. A second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, Pierce has developed a range of skills that support his work in action-oriented productions, including martial arts, fight choreography, stunt performance, strength training and weapons handling for the screen. The film incorporates practical fight sequences; stunt falls and physically demanding action designed to make use of that experience.

Pierce’s commitment to physical performance has been evident in his earlier work. In the sports drama Off The Line, he drew on his background as a competitive inline speed skater to perform racing sequences himself, bringing his athletic experience directly to the screen. His wider training also includes horseback riding, skiing, swimming, cold-water scuba diving and dry suit certification. Those skills form part of a continuing effort to prepare for roles requiring specialized physical abilities, including an untitled water-based project currently in development.

While Pierce’s work behind the camera has been central to his career, Rogue Protocol also reflects his ambition to move further into leading roles in action, thriller and adventure productions.

From Independent Filmmaking to International Distribution

Pierce began making films at eight years old in Washington State and founded Electric Shock Productions while still in his early teens. By the age of 20, he had built a four-feature portfolio spanning science fiction, comedy, sports drama and action. His first feature, The Future of Us, was released digitally in 2022. He followed it with The Get Rich Quick Scheme, a 1980s-inspired comedy that secured distribution through Random Media and became an important early step in Pierce’s understanding of the commercial film business.

His third feature, Off The Line, combined his filmmaking ambitions with his experience in competitive speed skating and went on to receive theatrical exposure and digital and DVD distribution. Through those productions, Pierce has worked across writing, directing, producing, acting and post-production, gaining firsthand experience in taking independent features from development through release. That experience has also brought him into contact with established entertainment industry professionals, including former Paramount executive and Random Media co-founder Eric Doctorow and veteran distribution executive Don Rosenberg, whose guidance has helped inform his approach to the business of filmmaking.

With Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol, Pierce is building on that foundation while moving toward projects with greater technical demands and broader commercial aspirations. The film’s presentation at AFM reflects the next stage of that progression: taking a production developed through an independent company and positioning it for consideration within the international marketplace.

What’s Next for Electric Shock Productions?

Beyond Rogue Protocol, Electric Shock Productions continues to develop additional feature films and television projects as Pierce expands his creative and producing activities. The company’s growing slate reflects an interest in genre filmmaking, character-driven storytelling and productions that combine practical filmmaking with increasingly ambitious concepts. For now, attention turns to Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol and its introduction to the international industry at AFM 2026. With post-production underway and distribution and release details still to be announced, AFM 2026 will provide an opportunity for Pierce and Electric Shock Productions to introduce the film to prospective partners and explore its next steps toward release.

For Pierce, who began making films as a child in Seattle, bringing his fourth feature to the American Film Market represents another step in a career built through independent production, and a chance to position Jack Harrison: Rogue Protocol for an audience beyond the United States.
