Meet Ekaterina Behor, an award-winning producer based in Los Angeles. With an impressive portfolio spanning film, music videos, and commercials, Ekaterina has garnered worldwide recognition and accolades for many of her projects. Today, she shares insights into her career. A journey in film production

Ekaterina’s first steps in the film and media industry started in her home country, Russia. She worked as a line producer for a popular TV music channel called Music Box. She fondly looks back on this time as she got to work with some of Russia’s most renowned artists. She was in charge of the production of the channel’s daily news program “NewsBox” and the “Top 10 Chart” highlighting the best music videos of the moment. She also produced the talent show “Raskrutka,” featuring young performers, and the weekly music update program “Music Box News.” Ekaterina made great contributions to this TV channel, which also included the broadcasting of the Music Box Awards in both 2016 and 2017.

Her decision to move to Los Angeles was motivated by a need fornew challenges. She wanted to expand her horizons. Soon after she arrived in Los Angeles, Ekaterina gained recognition for her work as a producer. Her first spec commercial for the laundry brand Tide was screened at 12 festivals, catapulting her career forward. She went on to work on numerous commercials for well-known brands, including the Los Angeles ice cream brand Napp’s. As a Russian producer, Ekaterina also strives to foster collaboration with other artists of Russian origin based in Los Angeles, bridging the gap between two distinct approaches.

Working for some of the most significant production houses

Today, Ekaterina feels at home in Hollywood. Her strong work ethic has led her to work for some of the most prestigious production houses in the United States. At G.M.L, Ekaterina served as a Producer for various projects, including the captivating Honda commercial titled “Coffee Knight, Burn It Up,” the TV miniseries “OPPO,” and the award-winning short film “Code ½,” among others. Currently, Ekaterina is associated with IMN, a prestigious production and post production studio in the United States. There she was involved in notable projects such as the highly anticipated sequel “Extraction 2” for Netflix and the sci-fi comedy TV show “Citadel” for Amazon Prime.  Ekaterina enjoys working for different genres, from action blockbusters to independent dramas. “Volatility,” a drama produced by Ekaterina, explores essential themes such as emotional abuse in a romantic relationship. The film received prestigious awards, including Best Narrative Short Film at the Cleveland Film Festival and Best Producer at the LA Independent Woman Film Awards.

Among her recent projects, Ekaterina takes great pride in the highly successful “Teens,” production available on YouTube, which has already amassed over 3.5 million views. “Teens” follows a group of teenagers as they navigate entering adulthood. Ekaterina is proud to work on various projects that speak to different demographics. In the future, she aspires to keep working in different genres and reaching new markets. Through her films, she aims to evoke powerful reactions, spark conversations, and leave a lasting impact on the viewers. She wishes to collaborate with talented actors and crew members, pushing the boundaries of cinematic storytelling and experimenting with innovative techniques.
