Awesome New Ghost In The Shell Teaser

We are expecting a new theatrical trailer for the eagerly-awaited live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell any time now, and to further whet our appetites, the kind folks at Paramount Pictures UK have served up an awesome little teaser.

The new short promo – entitled “Digital Mind” – sees Scarlett Johansson’s Major amongst highly distorted imagery and sounds, before revealing something very interesting in the back of her cranium. Check it out here.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

Ghost in the Shell is directed by Rupert Sanders of Snow White and the Huntsman fame, and co-stars Beat Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbaek, Rila Fukushima, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo.

It arrives in UK cinemas on Friday, 31st March in IMAX 3D. The hype is so real.
