Based on the true story of the electrifying 1973 tennis match between women’s champion Billie Jean King (Stone) and former world number 1, Bobby Riggs (Carell) after he infamously claimed he could beat any of the female champion players at the time. The historic contest changed the game for women in tennis and the women’s rights movement at the time, a topic that remains centre court in 2018 as we mark 100 years of votes for women.

Stunning performances from Carell and Stone saw them both nominated for a Golden Globe in the ‘Best Performance by Actor/Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy’ category.
