Cannes Film Festival 2017 – The Line-Up

In just over a month now we’ll be jetting off to France to be a part of one of the world’s greatest film festivals. From 17th to 28th May some of the greatest cinema minds and talents will come together in a celebration of the art form, with a mass of truly remarkable films culminating in glitz, glamour and much more. With the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival almost upon us, today saw the confirmation of the films that will be involved and also vying for the coveted Palme D’or.
Among the films involved, the likes of esteemed directors Sofia Coppola, Noah Baumbach, Michael Haneke, Todd Haynes all add a taste of brilliance to the astounding array of cinema on show and there is even a dashing of television on offer this year.
Coppola’s The Beguiled, starring Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst and Nicole Kidman – who stars in multiple entries in the festival – is likely to be one of the highest profile movies on show, while the likes of John Cameron Mitchell’s How To Talk To Girls At Parties, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer and Haneke’s Happy End look to be hot tickets, among many others.
It’s a truly wondrous schedule that has been released and there are simply too many incredible prospects on offer for us to truly delve through. So instead, take a look below at those films confirmed and see which you’d like to see most.
