This female-led action-packed drama was created by the talented Writer/Director Drew Denny and her crew, led by all female department heads. Momster stars Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction), John Ennis (Star Wars Resistance), Ryan Simpkins (Pride and Glory) and Josh Fadem (Twin Peaks).

When notorious bank robber the MOMSTER (Amanda Plummer) catches her daughter Angel (Brianna Hildebrand) mid-gunfight, Angel thinks she’s being rescued… until she realizes she has to do the saving.

Drew Denny’s first narrative feature won numerous awards and led her to be named “an auteur to watch” by The Advocate. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts Production Program and the California Institute of the Arts Aesthetics and Politics Masters Program. Her vast filmography includes six documentary episodes for the launch of Vice’s Broadly – the most successful launch in Vice history – as well as a documentary about drag queen nuns that is now being adapted for television by Marta Kaufman. Her latest film Momster is a proof of concept for her second feature.  Denny’s previous narratives have been selected for AFI Festival’s 5 in Focus, Outfest Best of the Fest, and Tribeca Film Festival’s PRIDE program.

Drew is passionate about telling groundbreaking stories with a focus on women, people of color and LGBTQ communities. She has worked to secure unprecedented access to subjects as diverse as abortion clinics in Texas and climate change refugees in the Maldives in addition to working with A-list Hollywood talent in narrative and commercial endeavors. In 2018, she was selected for the Sundance Women in Film Financing Intensive and the IFP Screen Forward Episodic Lab.

The stunning cinematography was created by Ava Berkofsky, the music by ASKA and the film produced by Rachel Nederveld with Film Fatales founder Leah Meyerhoff joining in post-production.

Momster will screen at Tribeca on April 26th, April 27th, May 3rd and twice on May 4th.
