With less than a month until Bill Condon’s hugely-anticipated live-action adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast hits theatres, the good people at Disney UK have unveiled the first full clip from the film, which sees Emma Watson’s Belle performing her titular song.
The scene is captured with Disney’s trademark whimsy, as Belle strolls through cobbled streets interacting with the locals, such as a baker, whilst the fluidity of choreography keeps the song pacy and eye-catching. Give the clip a whirl here.
Condon brings a stellar ensemble cast together for his latest, including Dan Stevens, Ewan McGregor, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellan, Emma Thompson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realise the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
Beauty and the Beast opens in UK cinemas on 17th March, and tickets are now available to book.
