The creative industry features a lot of talents ready to enhance the world with their creativity. One of them is Boris Labourguigne, a 34-year-old entrepreneur, filmmaker and film industry leader. He has a unique skill set that sets him apart in the industry.

Boris started his own production company in 2012, right after finishing his film studies (at La Sorbonne in Paris) and the very first project was the adaption of a horror story called “The Horla” into a film, a project that was part of his last year’s assignment. When Boris started his production company, he had an advantage over many other in the industry, he had previous experience as an editor, technician, DOP, and cameraman, which taught him about every aspect of production. Paired with his directorial expertise, this allowed him to establish excellent communication with crew and clients.

Entrepreneur And Filmmaker

It is well known in the industry that Boris has a knack for identifying new talent. Through the development of his company, he has always identified new talents, who have later completely “exploded” in the industry. For example, Boris was one of the first in the industry to work with Aube Perrie, a French director who directed music videos for Harry Styles and Megan Thee Stallion, who is now a multi-award winning director and a very sought-after director in the industry.

In 2012 he founded LEFT in collaboration with Augustin de Belloy, a new start for Boris. This startup covered brand videos, music videos, and commercials. Augustin has a background in the business-side of filmmaking, which supported Boris’s fantastic talent.

Expansion and new service offerings

The production company ‘s international activity became such that the company opened a branch in London in 2015. Two years later, the production company opened a branch in LA because the U.S. clientele was growing very fast. In 2022, Boris and his team at LEFT embarked on a journey into the realm of narrative content creation. They provided production services for the new spin-off of The Walking Dead, filmed in France and starring the talented Norman Reedus. Currently, they are actively developing an array of original series tailored for popular streaming platforms, as they continue to expand their creative horizons.

The production company experienced prominent growth in the U.S. market and Boris was named CEO of the U.S. entity.
