When you think Star Wars, you think LEGO, and this year the master brick-builders have provided a number of fantastic sets to coincide with the release of Rogue One. We’ve selected our three favourite sets from the bunch – all different prices, piece quantity, and build difficulty. These constructions toys will provide the ultimate Boxing Day bonding session…

AT-ST Walker (75153)

With 449 pieces – including an AWESOME Baze Malbus minifigure – and an intermediate to easy build rating, this LEGO offering is the cheapest on our list at £33 via Amazon. The hyper-detailed Walker – fresh from that Jedha invasion – is fully posable, with a full rotational centre-hinge, and can fire pew-pew laser beams thanks to the inclusion of a dart blaster. It also comes with a full cockpit, so the more sinister of your figurines can hop in and take control.

Rebel U-Wing Fighter (75155)

The king of the minifigures is here. This fantastic Rebel U-Wing Fighter set comes with an epic gaggle of characters ready for battle including Jyn Erso, Captain Cassian Andor, and even Bistan. Priced at just over £63 via Amazon, and packed with 659 pieces, this intermediate build is excellently valued and detailed. The U-Wing comes with four large thrusters, and can expand inwards and outwards thanks to subtly hidden gliders, plus there is space for Bistan to actually hang out the side and fire. That in itself is enough to warrant scooping this one…

Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle (75156)

At £76 via Amazon – probably the most competitive price online – LEGO’s biggest and baddest set is the most expensive on our list, but with 863 pieces and a difficult build rating, it is still a steal as bold as snatching those Death Star plans. With an wicked assortment of minifigures including former Empire operatives K-2SO and Bodhi Rook, Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle arrives with the big man himself, plus Bistan’s buddy Pao comes along for the Dark Side ride. Laden with hidden hinges and fully motioned wingspan, there is far more to this complex set than a large triangle. Inside the ship lies room for the figures to climb onboard, operate, and attack, making this one seriously interactive fun.

Yeah, we know the game is a bit of a con, but right now you can scoop the standard copy for either PS4 and Xbox One at less than £20 either via Amazon, or from the Playstation Network and Xbox Live stores respectively. Now is the best time to invest in EA’s huge online-multiplaying shooter as from today (Tuesday,6th December), the final DLC pack arrives, and it includes Rogue One content. The Rogue One: Scarif pack will let gamers experience battles on the film’s war-torn tropical planet as well as take control of both Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso, and Ben Mendelsohn’s Director Orson Krennic. Plus if they ask for PlayStation VR this Christmas, they’ll be able to play the free X-Wing VR Mission, too…

Disney XD’s explosively entertaining animated show Star Wars Rebels is the very epitome of awesome. As Grand Admiral Thrawn continues to wreak havoc for the crew onboard The Ghost in Season 3, now is the perfect time to relive the action of Season 2 which sees Ahsoka Tano face-off against her former master – Darth Vader. At just £9.99 on Blu-ray via Amazon, the 20-episode season clocks in at a whopping 465 minutes, and comes complete with a whole host of bonus features such as “Making Of” documentaries, and commentary with showrunner Dave Filoni and the voice artists. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas

Learn your Jakku from your Endor with this beautifully crafted and frequently funny visual guide. The oversized and heavy-duty “Star Wars: Galactic Atlas” features planets and landscapes from all eight Star Wars movies – including Rogue One – and is mapped out in a traditional, almost Christopher Columbus-inspired manner. Dotted throughout the 80 pages are plentiful characters from both the Light and Dark Sides, as well as droids, ships, weaponry, and everything else that makes Star Wars, well, Star Wars. Priced at £6.99 via Amazon, this is one fabulous hardcover which would make the perfect stocking filler. Not that it’ll actually fit in a stocking. Unless you’ve got one that’s AT-AT sized…

Star Wars Limited Edition Steelbook Collection

Steelbooks

Source: Zavvi

Including all six Episode films prior to The Force Awakens, these luxurious limited edition Steelbooks are the perfect gift for the avid Blu-ray collector in your life. Each Steelbook features a striking image of a core character from each film, as well as an embossed title logo, and each disc is simply loaded with amazing bonus content. All six discs can be bought together for £100 via Zavvi, or purchased individually between £17 – £20. We personally love the General Grievous cover. The Force Awakens is also available on Steelbook from the company for £18, but somewhat annoyingly it doesn’t match the remainder of this collection.

Amazon have this hardcover priced at a silly £17 – some £13 less than the recommended retail price – which is quite remarkable. Across 256 lavishly-animated pages, the reader will see the worlds of Rogue One truly come to live, and that’s one heck of a festive gift.

Of the many Star Wars boardgames on offer, Armada is the biggest and the best; a large-scale strategic warfare between the Imperial Navy and Rebel Alliance. This huge box includes a gorgeous Star Destroyer model, as well a ton of TIE Fighters, B-Wings, Shuttle Freighters, multiple game cards, dice, tokens, and pretty much everything else you could ever imagine.
