Godzilla 2 Has A Killer Synopsis And More Monsters!

Get ready for a true monster smackdown as Godzilla 2 gets its first official synopsis and proves that this Monsterverse is going to be a lesson in just how to do an expansive movie universe (we’re looking at you, Universal).

Hot off the heels of the recent news that Adam Winged has been tapped up to direct Godzilla vs. Kong, Godzilla 2, directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick r Treat, Krampus), has finally got its first full synopsis and it’s something to get very excited about.

While Godzilla locked horns with some feisty monsters last time around, his second outing sees some truly legendary foes coming his way and one hell of a problem for mankind.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.  When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Mother and King Ghidorah?! Colour us immensely excited for this one, especially after the success story that was the first film and Kong: Skull Island.
