A recurring trait of not just the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but indeed the entirety of the superhero sub-genre is the post-credit scene, which gives audiences an insight into what lies ahead for their favourite comic book characters. Today it has been confirmed that the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will indeed feature a post-credit scene, and the news comes from the main man himself: writer-director James Gunn.
In answer to a fan’s question on Twitter, Gunn coyly replied with his trademark wit, and in doing so gave the world the answer they longed for…
All I’ll say is, unless you have to rush out because your mother is dying, stay through the entire end credits. https://t.co/c58nzDeCnp

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Michael Rooker, and Karen Gillan all reprise their roles for the second space-age outing, whilst the intergalactic cast is rounded out by the likes of Kurt Russell, Glenn Close, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sylvester Stallone.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – which is one of Filmoria’s 20 Must-See Movies Still to Come in 2017 – bursts into UK cinemas in IMAX 3D on 28th April.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
