Although Marvel Studios’ hugely-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hasn’t reached screens just yet, there is already significant interest for the space-age misfits’ third outing, following their integral part in the forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
Thankfully for fans, franchise writer-director James Gunn has confirmed that that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will happen, but he is uncertain at this point if he wants to helm the project.
In a recent interview with Complex, promoting The Belko Experiment (of which Gunn penned the screenplay), he stated: “There will be a Guardians 3, that’s for sure. We’re trying to figure it out. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do really, that’s all it is. I got to figure out where I want to be, what I want to spend the next three years of my life doing. You know, I’m going to make another big movie; is it the Guardians or something else? I’m just going to figure it out over the next couple of weeks.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 reunites Gunn reuniting with stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and Glenn Close, alongside new additions Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Kurt Russell, and Sylvester Stallone.
The film – which is one of Filmoria’s 20 Must-See Movies Still to Come in 2017 – will warp into UK cinemas in IMAX 3D on 28th April.
