The 2018 IBC is about to open its doors in Amsterdam. If you’ve never hear of this even, it is the biggest and arguably most exciting event related to the Media, Entertainment and Technology industry, with anything ranging from movies, show, videogames, eSports and much more.

From September 13th to September 17th a series of conferences and speeches will be held, while the exhibition is going to take place from the 14th to the 18th.

The RAI Auditorium is also going to host movie screenings, for titles such as Incredibles 2 and the latest installment of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The Big Screen Programme will focus on how innovation in tech is impacting the movie industry, with movies such as Ready Player One, which also strongly intertwines with the gaming community (an important aspect at the IBC).

The Future Zone of the event is definitely going to be one of the highlights, offering people the possibility to see and try some of the latest innovations in high-tech.

Without even having to dive deep into the world of high-tech innovation, virtual reality and some of the latest devices exhibited at the Future Zone, it is already clear how, even for the more normal and daily activities, the internet and technology in general have brought a variety of things together, intertwining experiences that used to be separate, such as gaming, sports, betting and technology.

All these things blend together when looking at the growth of the eSports market, which will be a focus of Arnd Benninghoff’s speech on Monday 17th September, and the betting industry that immediately got behind the exciting opportunities offered by such environment (if you’re interested in eSports’ betting and online gaming you can have a chance to take part in it yourself and read more here).

The IBC will also host a series of ver important sponsors and exhibitors, bringing in their latest news and products. Exhibitors include Google, Facebook, Sony, Verizon, Canon, Adobe, Amazon and many more.

If you’re in Europe already, it might be an interesting opportunity to go and discover some of the most exciting trends and products currently available on the market, or coming soon in late 2018 and early 2019.
