Legends of Tomorrow S03E10 – Daddy Darhkest
Although all our other Arrowverse heroes are on a break, we still get the pleasure of viewing the Legends. The second half of season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow has returned, with guest star John Constantine (Matt Ryan). The previous half of the season unveiled the big baddy, Mallus, a demonic entity ready to shroud the world with darhkness. Its only fitting that Constantine joins the fight.
Normally, Constantine would conjure a solution to exorcise a demon, or use his wit and charm to get out of it. However, this demon called out our beloved legend Sara, and this demon isn’t just any other willy nilly demon. Mallus has possessed a young girl, and its now up to the Legends and Constantine to exorcise the demon out of the girl. And this girl happens to be Norah Darhk, Damien Darhk’s daughter.
Legends of Tomorrow continue to define a new path in the Arrowverse, never unafraid of trying new things. An episode dealing with an exorcism can’t have too many action packed sequences, and the writers have filled it up with many horror, suspense filled moments. Daddy Darhkest really felt like a mini horror episode, contorting Norah in ways that was unexpected. Whilst Norah might have gotten Mallus out of her, it wasn’t until dear old papa convinces her of how great that power actually was.
Meanwhile, there were many crucial pieces of information in this week’s episode that will surely come up again. Ray is building an anti magic gun, Zari is ‘one of the six’ and manages to burn Mallus when he tries to touch her, and Sara and Ava’s relationship grows much stronger, even though she does have sex with Constantine. But who can blame her. There is no doubt that Constantine will show up again, especially after he mentions he will research what this ‘six’ means for Mallus. The closer of the episode reveals that Rip escapes, on the run with nowhere to go, it is probable he will end up back with the Legends.
