The great intent from Disney to give many of their animated classics a live-action makeover, shows no signs of abating.

This year we’ve had Jon Favreau’s widely-praised rework of the The Jungle Book and earlier this week, the new trailer for Bill Condon’s upcoming version of Beauty And The Beast (released March 2017) starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, smashed the 24-hour record of most views across all platforms (127.6 million).

Now it is the turn of a much beloved A.A Milne creation. Realising characters such as Tigger and Piglet, we will now be treated to a fresh take on Winnie The Pooh, titled Christopher Robin and will be directed by Marc Forster .

Forster is no stranger to handling world-renowned characters, providing us with James Bond instalment Quantum Of Solace back in 2008 and battled through a tortured production with leading man Brad Pitt for the big-screen adaptation of World War Z. He is also set to release his new film All I See Is You next year starring Blake Lively (this year’s The Shallows), which made its debut at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

The film will be scripted by Listen Up Philip and Queen Of Earth‘s Alex Ross Perry.
