Patrick Melrose – Available from 13th May

Based on the acclaimed novels by Edward St. Aubyn, this five-part series tracks Patrick Melrose (Benedict Cumberbatch) from a privileged but deeply traumatic childhood. Based in the South of France, the story focuses on his severe substance abuse in his twenties in New York and, ultimately, toward recovery back home in Britain. The series is written by Bafta Award nominee David Nicholls, Far from the Madding Crowd screenwriter and One Day author.

Geordie Shore Season 17 – Available 15th May

Everyone’s favourite Geordie clan are back for an incredible 17th series, but this time the they are going Down Under. Taking on Australia with their unique Geordie charm, are Tyneside regulars Chloe Ferry, boyfriend Sam Gowland, Sophie Kasaei and Nathan Henry. But unfamiliar surroundings call for some unfamiliar names – cue a bevy of some local newbies to show the group the ropes in OZ. Plenty of tashing on and plenty of sunburn are just two things we can expect to see to see this season.

Bulletproof – Available 15th May

Fans of police dramas will be glued to their screens with this new exciting series. Former Doctor Who star Noel Clarke and Cuffs’ Ashley Walters team up in this thriller as police duo Bishop and Pike — two best friends, bonded by the same moral code despite their differences. Pike is an aspirational family man, the son of a decorated police officer who’s determined to follow in his father’s footsteps, but not be in his shadow. Bishop grew up in care homes and on the streets, and never knew his father. Tune is as the duo put their bromance to the test for the first time!

Just Tattoo of Us Season 3– Available 21st May

Blind folded tattoos chosen by a much respected and trusted partner or friend – what could go wrong? A lot, especially if last season is anything to go by. The game show that takes trust to another level returns for season three with stalwart Charlotte Crosby, again leading the charge. While ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear has undergone laser removal and has been replaced by Charlotte’s old mate Scotty T.

Westworld Season 2 – Available Now

Season 2 sees the return of Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and JJ Abram’s story about the dawn of artificial intelligence, where chaos still reigns, new worlds are introduced and a revolution is in full swing. Season 1 ended in dramatic fashion, with the hosts turning on their masters as part of a rebellion led by Maeve Millay (played by Thandie Newton), and it seems the second instalment will be a turbulent affair.

 Deep State – Available Now

Tipped to become the latest obsession for fans of intelligence thrillers, Deep State follows the life an ex-spy who believes he has retired from the M16 until he is called back to do one final job to regain his life. The eight-part series starring Mark Strong, Game of Throne’s Joe Dempsie, newcomer Karima McAdams and produced by Endor Productions, Deep State promises to provide drama with guns and grit.

War for The Planet of The Apes – Available from 25th May

Starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson and Steve Zahn, this American science fiction film follows the confrontation between the apes, led by Caesar (Serkis), and the humans (led by a ruthless Colonel – Harrelson) for the control of Earth. Viewers will be gripped by the epic battle of the species that will determine the fate of both species… and the future of the planet.

 Annabelle Creation – Available from 12th May

Fans of supernatural horror films will be glued to their seats in this horror directed by David F. Sandberg. A prequel to 2014’s Annabelle and the fourth instalment in The Conjuring series, the film depicts the possessed Annabelle dolls origin. A couple still grieving the death of their daughter take in children from a local orphanage, but the family are soon terrorised by a demented doll known as Annabelle. Prepare for a restless night’s sleep after viewing…

 Atomic Blonde – Available from 18th May

Based on the 2012 graphic novel The Coldest City, which revolves around a spy who must find a list of double agents who are being smuggled into the West, Atomic Blonde stars Charlize Theron as the undercover M16 agent sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the murder of a fellow agent.

The Affair Season 4 & Seasons 1-3 Boxset

The Golden Globe-winning drama about an extramarital relationship between a New York schoolteacher (Dominic West) and a waitress (Ruth Wilson), returns for Season 4. Set 3 years following the affair that shattered the lives of everyone closest to them, season 4 picks up with Noah introducing his new love interest Juliette – will he be able to stay faithful or will his old demons come back to haunt him?
