Ominously Beautiful Poster For Martin Scorsese’s Silence

Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films arriving in the coming months is legendary auteur Martin Scorsese’s passion project, Silence. Twenty-eight years in the making, finally his vision is arriving on the silver screen. Silence follows Christian missionaries who go looking for their missing mentor in Japan, in which Christianity is outlawed and their presence forbidden.

Everything regarding the film – from promotional materials to release information – has been most quiet (excuse the pun), but today Paramount Pictures have provided this ethereal and gorgeously haunting one-sheet theatrical poster. Starring Liam Neeson, Adam Driver, Andrew Garfield and Ciarán Hinds, the Academy Awards contender opens in UK cinemas on New Year’s Day, whilst US audiences will enjoy it earlier on 23rd December.
