Everyone loves a homage. It shows a level of respect and appreciation for the past, and serves as a vital way for artists to say thanks to those who inspired. Well, if this towering new IMAX poster is anything to go by, the highly-anticipated Kong: Skull Island will be owing a debt to perhaps the most beloved postmodern Vietnam movies of all-time: Apocalypse Now.
The forthcoming film features an all-star cast including Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and Toby Kebbell, and will be helmed by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. This new poster pays beautiful – and absolutely striking – admiration to legendary artist Bob Peak’s work on the Francis Ford Coppola film, providing plentiful wow-factor. Check it out right here…
