Casinos have played a major role in the production of various blockbuster movies. From Casino Royale to Ocean’s Eleven, the list is endless. So, whether, the movies displayed the dark side of casinos or the killer skills of the croupier, casino movies bring out that ‘what next’ moment as adrenaline rushes through your body.

With that said, the following are the top casino movies of all time with some of the memorable quotes from the cast.

  1. Casino Royale by Martin Campbell, 2006

Kicking off the list one of James Bond’s films created from the original of 1967, Casino Royale. What immediately captures your attention in the scene is the wealth and class that oozes from the casino the high risk involved notwithstanding.

Le Chiffre, who is the banker to the most wanted terrorist, is at the table playing a highly tensed Texas Hold’em game in Montenegro. The game is a must-win for him because he needs to get his money back to stay a step ahead of other terrorists.

Joining him are agent Vesper Lynd and James Bond who is on official duty to put down Le Chiffre. To do that, he needs to win the game as well.

One of the famous and hilarious quotes here is by James Bond himself, “I’m sorry. That last hand…nearly killed me”

  1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Terry Gilliam, 1998

This movie is based on the famous novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Johnny Depp as Hunter S. Thompson making a road trip in Western America.

He is not alone. His Samoan lawyer accompanies him as they head to Las Vegas where Thompson is supposed to cover a sporting event for a certain magazine. Things don’t go as planned in sin city after spending his advance on drugs and so they set out looking for the popular ‘American dream’. This movie depicts Vegas as dangerous and most importantly nothing near the American dream. So, this quote by Raoul Duke is perfectly placed, “With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever.”

  1. The Hangover by Todd Phillips, 2009

The famous saying of ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ is displayed in its raw meaning in this casino movie. Alan, Stu and Phil played by Bradley Cooper make their way to Vegas to light up a bachelor party hosted by their friend Doug.

However, things take a turn for the worst when the 3 friends wake up with no clue whatsoever of what went down the previous night. And as if that’s not enough, the bridegroom is missing and there’s a tiger in the bathroom.

They try to fix things, but the real question is, can they make a clean wedding appearance? Find out in the game’s adaptation at Spinzwin.com.

  1. Casino by Martin Scorsese, 1996

Deception, greed, power, money and murder most foul headline this casino movie which shows the ugly and true side of casinos. Sam a.k.a. Ace played by Robert De Niro operates a mob-filled casino in Vegas and stays with his wife, Ginger, as well as his childhood friend Nicky Santoro when a mafia kingpin makes his appearance in town with an ugly agenda in mind that looks to get Ace’s life off the tracks.

“I was so good that when I bet, I can change the odds for every bookmaker in the country” by Ace Rothstein.

  1. Ocean’s Eleven by Steven Soderbergh, 2001

It would be a crime to close the list without including this casino movie. Danny Ocean played by George Clooney makes one of the riskiest dares of his life as he attempts to make away with a massive loot from 3 casinos in Vegas.

The Mirage, the Bellagio and the MGM Grand are his targets all under the ownership of one Terry Benedict. This captivating movie brings out various hurdles the team must overcome to make a dash with $150 million.

“Shane, you’ve got three pairs. You can’t have six cards. You can’t have six cards in a five-card game” by Rusty Ryan.

Where rightly movies feature casinos, the coin has the other side too. Yes, you are right! You can spot many movie-themed slot games being introduced in online casinos like Spinzwin. This clearly indicates each of these contributes a lot to the revenue sources of the other industry, hence the association can be expected to long if these industries go on to exist.
