A hot-pick for plentiful Academy Awards nominations next year is Pablo Larraín’s second film of 2016, Jackie. The American biographical drama has been causing quite a stir on the festival circuit, with many critics praising Natalie Portman’s mesmeric central performance as First Lady Jackie Kennedy.
Sporting an all-star cast including Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup and John Hurt, the Oscar hopeful lands in UK cinemas on 20th January 2017, whilst US audiences can enjoy it on 2nd December. Ahead of the forthcoming UK release, eOne have provided us with the official new trailer which you can enjoy below.

JACKIE is a searing and intimate portrait of one of the most important and tragic moments in American history, seen through the eyes of the iconic First Lady, then Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (Natalie Portman). JACKIE places us in her world during the days immediately following her husband’s assassination. Known for her extraordinary dignity and poise, here we see a psychological portrait of the First Lady as she struggles to maintain her husband’s legacy and the world of “Camelot” that they created and loved so well
