Snubbed Best Actress hopeful Amy Adams has been asked by the Academy to present an Oscar at the ceremony next week. Amy Adams To Present Oscar At Next Week’s Academy Awards

It looks as though the Academy are feeling a little silly after brazenly neglecting to nominate the great Amy Adams for either of her impeccable performances this awards season. After all, she could have been recognised – and rightfully won – for either Arrival or Nocturnal Animals, but it seems as though amends are attempting to be made, as she’s been asked to present an Oscar during next Sunday’s ceremony.

Adams joins an illustrious group of presenters which includes (deep breath…) Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Dwayne Johnson, Felicity Jones, Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Leslie Mann, Janelle Monáe, David Oyelowo, Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Javier Bardem, John Cho, Mark Rylance, Alicia Vikander, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Halle Berry, Gael García Bernal, Shirley MacLaine, Kate McKinnon, and Hailee Steinfeld.

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 89th Academy Awards take place on Sunday 26th February at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where many will be looking to La La Land for big wins with its record-equalling 14 nominations.
