To celebrate the new release date for writer-director Edgar Wright’s hugely-anticipated Baby Driver – which has been pushed forward two months following a thunderous spell at the SXSW Festival – Sony Pictures have marked the occasion with a brilliant new trailer, crammed with never-before-seen footage.
The film, which is one of our 20 Must See Movies Still to Come in 2017, sees Ansel Elgort play the titular character; a phenomenal getaway driver, who suffers from tinnitus. He uses music on his iPod to help drown out the ringing, and as a consequence, Wright’s latest is smartly choreographed to follow the rhythms of Baby’s beats. The fantastic supporting cast is rounded out by the likes of Jamie Foxx, Lily James, Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, and John Bernthal.
This Summer, all you need is one killer track. A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Baby Driver screeches into UK cinemas on 16th August, and we simply cannot wait!
