On Tuesday 9 January 2018, BAFTA’s Chair Jane Lush will be joined by Natalie Dormer and Letitia Wright to announce the nominations for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2018. BAFTA Chief Executive Amanda Berry OBE, BAFTA’s Deputy Chair Pippa Harris, Marc Samuelson Chair of the Film Committee and Alison Thompson Deputy Chair of the Film Committee will also be in attendance. Following the nominations announcement, the host of this year’s ceremony will be revealed.
This year there will be a 30-minute live programme surrounding the nominations announcement on both Twitter and Facebook. The programme will start with a sneak peek of this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards trailer and will be followed by the live nominations announcement. The announcement will be followed by a live panel discussion hosted by George Lamb and an esteemed panel of film craft and industry guests.
The EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday 18 February 2018 at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. Sponsored by EE, the Awards will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD that evening.
